2018 Cline North Coast Viognier
#42-19
We grilled salmon the other night, and paired it with a bottle of 2018 Cline North Coast Viognier. It was a good choice, and an excellent dinner!
The Cline has a good nose, with fragrant aromas of fresh stone fruit, and a hint of orange citrus in the breeze. The flavor is peach, and a little pineapple, with a touch of spice to round it out. The balance between fruit and acidity is good, although it may lean just a little to the sweet side. The finish is clean and refreshing. The alcohol content is 14.5%, and Norm's score is 88.
We enjoyed this Viognier with our grilled salmon, but I also thought of it as a good companion for grilled shrimp or chicken on a bed of fresh greens.
score: 88
price: $11 - $15
