2015 Kim Crawford Chardonnay

On a hot summer night, what's better than a crisp, clean, cold glass of Chardonnay? The Kim Crawford is a good choice for food or just sipping. The other night the Chardonnay Queen whipped up and excellent "special" chicken salad, which was perfect for a hot summer night when served with a well chilled glass of Chardonnay.
This Chardonnay has a strong nose emitting pleasant vapors of stone fruit mixed with a mild citrus breeze. The flavor is a mixture of apple and a little tropical fruit, with an undercurrent of lemony citrus. The finish is crisp, with no noticeable oak presence, even though a small portion of the blended juice spent a little time in the barrel. The alcohol content is 13%, and Norm's score is 89.
A good match for chilled salads, the Kim Crawford Chardonnay would also pair well with a variety of seafood dishes, including Shrimp on the Barbie!
