2016 Bravium Russian River Valley Chardonnay

The Chardonnay Queen and I were shopping recently, looking to re-stock our everyday wine supply, when she picked up a label neither of us had seen before.  I knew it would probably be decent, when I saw that the grapes were grown in Sonoma County's Russian River Valley.  I don't ever recall having a bad bottle of wine from Russian River, especially Pinot Noir or Chardonnay.
The 2016 Bravium Chardonnay is more than decent, it is most enjoyable.  The nose is bright and enticing with tropical fruit aromas beckoning your attention.  The flavor is pure Chardonnay with green apple, pear, and a slight citrus breeze.  There is a slight buttery presence, with a small dash of oak, which leads to a clean and refreshing finish.  The alcohol content is 13.5%, and Norm's score is 89.
We enjoyed this Russian River delight with broiled salmon and a fresh green salad, with avocado and tomato. All in all, a delightful evening!

score: 89
