2018 Smoking Loon Steelbird Rose
#17-19

The other night with temperatures starting to remind us that summer was not far off, we enjoyed a summertime meal.  The Chardonnay Queen whipped up an excellent chilled Chicken Salad on a bed of romaine, and we paired our repast with a chilled bottle of Rose.  A good match for summertime dining, is cold chicken and chilled Rose.  The bottle we chose was the 2018 Smoking Loon Steelbird Rose, which is a light and pleasing little wine, just right for light fare.
The wine is a pretty pink color with a mild and pleasing taste.  It is a blend of Barbera, Syrah, and Grenache and has flavors of strawberry and bing cherry, and has a refreshing although somewhat lean finish.  The alcohol content is 12%, and Norm's score is 87.
Its almost time to head for the back porch with a "Back Porch Sipper".

score: 87
price: $8 - $11
